Vizag has a very limited number of footpaths compared to the size of the city now. The entire stretch of the beach road till Bhimili is getting footpaths but the interior of the city needs them more. The few pedestrian walkways that exist are mostly occupied, some right under the nose of the GVMC and police.
Clearing these and building new footpaths with the right specifications would help citizens walk in safety instead of dodging traffic by having to walk on the roads.
